Keeping itself front and center with Arizona bettors ahead of the state’s Sept. 9 launch for sports betting, Caesars unveiled renderings of its sportsbook that will open adjacent to Chase Field in Phoenix next year.

Caesars and the Arizona Diamondbacks announced their partnership that included plans to build a sportsbook in May, and the Major League Baseball club was among the 18 total licensees approved by the state’s Department of Gaming last Friday. Caesars, which also announced a fantasy gaming partnership with the Fiesta Bowl last month, has been able to accept deposits since Saturday ahead of next week’s launch.

The 20,000-square-foot, two-level sportsbook will be in the space formerly occupied by the Game 7 Grill next to the ballpark. The sportsbook will be open year-round and have operating hours that cater to sporting events. Fans cannot access it while attending a Diamondbacks game but can place wagers through the Caesars Sportsbook app.

“The Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field will be the premier sports betting and entertainment destination in downtown Phoenix,” said Derrick Hall, Diamondbacks president & CEO, in a statement. “D-backs fans, Arizona residents, and out-of-state visitors, whether they are sports bettors or not, should look forward to this state-of-the-art, year-round location that will feature a first-class dining, betting and hospitality experience – all while taking in their favorite sporting event or watching their favorite team.

“This sportsbook will transform the sports viewing experience in Arizona.”

While the sportsbook is being constructed, fans can place in-person wagers at ticket windows 21 through 25 at Chase Field when legal to do so, making the ballpark the first MLB venue to conduct retail betting. Caesars will also install five betting kiosks on the north side of the plaza as the sportsbook opening draws nearer.

The two-level sportsbook will offer indoor and outdoor seating on both floors. There will be a VIP lounge with a private bar in addition to a full-service bar, and the sportsbook will have an extensive food menu as patrons will have access to more than 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining space.

There will also be approximately 1,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor LED screens with wall-to-wall televisions so bettors will not miss any action.

“Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field will bring to life the vision of our brand by celebrating the Caesars promise of treating everyone like royalty,” said Eric Hession, co-president of Caesars Digital. “These renderings provide a taste of what this incredible new venue will offer, but there’s so much more we can’t wait to show Arizona customers when the space officially opens. Sports bettor or not, we’re hoping fans will visit to enjoy an unbeatable experience.”
