If it’s the Saturday night before the Super Bowl, you know what that means: It’s the Cavalcade of Betting Stars appearing on SuperStream 57, starring Captain Jack Andrews!

OK, fine. Maybe it’s not actually the 57th edition. Maybe that’s just a little … well, hyperbole might fit just fine here.

So what is it? Well, it is a cavalcade of betting stars, it does feature Captain Jack as the host, and it will be broadcast starting at 7 p.m. ET Saturday on YouTube.

And it will feature a veritable who’s who of the sports betting industry, from bettors to pundits to everyone in between, coming on, giving a side and a prop pick, and basically kibbitzing the evening away.

And we have Jerry Seinfeld to thank for it.

Please welcome …

So the origin of SuperStream is actually the classic Seinfeld episode where Kramer finds the old set of the Merv Griffin Show in a dumpster,” Andrews said. “Seems odd, but true. Kramer turns his living room into a talk show and that’s exactly what I decided to do on December 3, 2020.

“We thought we were coming out of the pandemic, sports were back in full swing, but yet here was this odd night where no major sports were scheduled,” Andrews continued. “I hastily emailed a bunch of different people I knew from the industry to see if they’d appear virtually on my Sports Bettors Talk Show. In the end, I only had 10 guests, but people loved the concept of seeing all these people from different backgrounds in the industry together on one screen.”

Fast forward to last year’s Super Bowl. Andrews, along with Rufus Peabody, had launched Unabated. Andrews was brainstorming content ideas, and he remembered the talk show concept.

“One of the great things about a ’70s talk show is that you never knew who might walk onto the set unexpectedly because they were shooting a show elsewhere on the studio lot,” Andrews said. “I took a similar approach and jam-packed everyone into time slots where they’d only stay for 15-20 minutes but the common theme would be the Super Bowl.

“Since most bettors really just want picks, we’d make this the one time of year where it’s OK to give picks. The market isn’t going to move. The lines are already efficient. Picks don’t really mean much the night before the Super Bowl. Every guest comes equipped with a pick on the side/total/moneyline of the game, as well as one prop pick. Sometimes the prop picks are esoteric longshots, sometimes they are simple. Last year, Spanky correctly gave out heads on the coin flip and there’s still rumors of inside knowledge.”

This year, Andrews has gone bigger.

Our first guest …

Upward of 40 guests are expected to join throughout the evening, including the famed Vegas oddsmaker Roxy Roxborough, who will be one of the first guests. Other notable names include Jeff Benson of Circa Sportsbook, Adam Levitan of Establish the Run, Matthew Davidow of Deck Prism Sports, David Purdum of ESPN, and countless others.

And know this: You’ll probably get a few winners if you tune in.

We had 26 guests last year, they went a collective 18-7-1 on their sides/totals/moneyline bets,” Andrews said. “On props they went 13-13, but there were some longshot props in there, so the average implied probability was 44.23%. So they came out ahead there too.”

It’s truly a cavalcade of stars, though, and as of press time, there was no word whether Zsa Zsa Gabor would be swinging by.
