The wait is finally over, as FanDuel Sportsbook is officially going live in New York at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday.
The New York State Commission announced Thursday that FanDuel has been authorized to start mobile sports betting operations in the state, just in time for bettors to wager on the College Football Playoff championship game and the final week of the NFL regular season.

The sportsbook features futures odds, player props, game props, and more. Local bettors will have the chance to place wagers on players from the New York Giants, New York Yankees, Buffalo Sabres, and other local and national teams.
FanDuel is celebrating the arrival of mobile sports betting in the Empire State by offering a $100 site credit to users who sign up prior to Saturday morning. The bonus offer is only available in New York and users must be 21 or older. When FanDuel New York officially goes live this weekend, bettors will have the opportunity to redeem their $100 pre-registration bonus and apply it to their account immediately.
FanDuel’s New York connection
FanDuel already has multiple partnerships with sports teams and broadcasters in New York state, including MSG Network and the New York Knicks, the New York Liberty, and, as was recently announced, the Buffalo Bills. In November 2021, FanDuel also extended its partnership with the NBA, a relationship that has been ongoing for over seven years. As for the NFL, FanDuel is one of three sportsbooks to partner with the most popular sports league in North America.
Founded in 2009, FanDuel has headquarters in New York City. The company also offers online sports betting in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, and West Virginia, among other states. FanDuel Sportsbook at Tioga Downs Casino Resort in Nichols, N.Y., opened in July 2019. The 2,600-square-foot retail location features eight betting windows, 27 video displays including a large video wall, three sports tickers, 12 lounge seats, seven high tables, two drink rails, and seating for more than 50 customers.
The sportsbook is noted for its expansive same-game parlay options, including its recent Same Game Parlay Plus offering, which allows bettors to combine multiple same-game parlays on one betting slip. Even better, the parlays don’t have to be from the same sport, so bettors get a vast selection of parlays to choose from and combine.
FanDuel was named Operator of the Year at the 2021 EGR North America Virtual Awards, whose panel credited it with strong growth across the board, combined with a commitment to media and responsible gambling.
