PlayUp Sportsbook App Promo Code & Review
Get ready to PlayUp. While new to the United States, PlayUp has established itself as a worldwide power in online sports betting and fantasy sports. The company has reach from the shores of its home country, Australia, to Indiana (primarily fantasy sports), and is now asserting itself stateside, first in Colorado. PlayUp arrives in the country carrying a competitive welcome package that offers up every opportunity to return value, a clean desktop and mobile interface, and an ambitious plan for growth and expansion.
Below we’ll be demystifying this fresh bookmaker. We’ll offer an honest assessment of the product, tell you how to get started, who can use it, where you can use it, and much more. Oh, and don’t miss our leading PlayUp sportsbook promo code.
PlayUp Sportsbook sign up bonus
We’re not going to bury the lead on this one. PlayUp Sportsbook will give you free money to sign up and bet with them. Plus, there’s a clearable 200% deposit match to boot. Let’s look at the combo offer a little deeper:
|PlayUp Sportsbook Promo Code||PLAYUP200|
|Free Bet||$20 after sign up|
|Deposit Match||200% up to $200|
Get $20 free on PlayUp
Create your account – receive $20 free bet. Simple enough? This no-deposit bonus is automatically waiting for new users after sign up. Head to the sportsbook, pick out the bet you want to make, and add it to your betslip. When you’re ready to finalize the wager you will see the free bet appear on a nearby dropdown. Select it, and lock in your pick. Now all you’ve got to do is sweat the winner.
There are some terms and conditions associated with the offer, but there’s nothing to be concerned about. First, any winnings from the bet are credited straight to your cash balance – which is great. With that being said, the original $20 free bet stake won’t be. For example, if you put the free $20 down on a +110 wager, the potential payout is $42 ($20 original stake + $22 in winnings). However, with this free bet you will just receive the winnings, the $22. Next, the free bet must be placed on a wager with odds of -500 or greater, but that still allows for a lot of flexibility. Remember though, you only get to keep the winnings from the bet. If you plunk down the $20 free bet on a massive favorite with -500 odds, you only stand to gain $4 if it goes well since the original $20 isn’t coming back to you… so just keep that in mind when you’re deciding what to put your free bet on.
Match your first deposit, 200% up to $200
Make a deposit within 90 days of creating your account and PlayUp will triple it for you. The brand’s 200% deposit match bonus is an excellent opportunity to load up on extra betting cash without having to deposit it all yourself. To maximize the promotion and receive the biggest possible bonus haul, you would need to deposit at least $100 bucks using promo code PLAYUP200. After doing so you will be credited with a bonus equal to 200% of the deposit amount, capped at $200. Therefore a $100 deposit will earn you $200 in bonuses, instantly upping the bankroll to $300 – not too shabby!
Again, there are some terms to be aware of. There’s a 5x playthrough requirement that applies to both the deposit and bonus amount combined. Thus, a $100 deposit that earns you $200 in bonuses will necessitate $1,500 in total action (5 x $300) before the $200 bonus can be cashed out and sent to the bank. Bettors have 120 days to clear it, which generally speaking is a really generous timeline. Like the free money, only bets with odds of -500 or greater will count for the playthrough… but that’s actually really good. A -500 favorite is a pretty significant favorite, meaning if you chose to, you could complete the wagering requirement without backing underdogs.
PlayUp is licensed in the following states
As you likely know, U.S. sports betting is legalized on a state by state basis. Just because the PlayUp product is available in some states doesn’t mean it is in others. PlayUp first attained a license to accept wagers in the state of Colorado, initially opening for business in March 2021. The bookmaker has already agreed to further licensing agreements to bring its products to new jurisdictions. Here’s the complete list of where you can use PlayUp Sportsbook in the U.S., and where you can expect it to launch soon.
|Colorado||$20 Free + $200 Match||Bull Durham Casino||March 2021|
|New Jersey||TBD||Freehold Raceway||TBD|
PlayUp has already signed a deal with FR Park Racing, owner and operator of Freehold Racetrack in Freehold Borough, NJ. This means that PlayUp will be making an appearance in New Jersey to challenge for market share in the Garden State. Likewise, PlayUp also has a deal with Caesars that’ll see the brand come to the midwest in both Indiana and Iowa.
Create your PlayUp Sports account
If you’re older than 21 then you’re invited to set up your PlayUp account. You can do this from anywhere in the country, you don’t have to be in a state where PlayUp is currently operating. Conversely, you do need to be inside one of these approved states before you can place a wager. However, sign up, deposits, withdrawals, and basically every other account function is open to those all over the U.S., regardless of location. Before you place a bet you’ll be required to grant the sportsbook access to your location using your mobile device, or by downloading a specific program to your computer. It may seem like a hassle but it’s a painless process and is required by all sportsbooks in the U.S. – so get used to it.
Sign up in minutes
When all is said and done, it’s only going to take a few minutes to get going here. Click the ‘Register’ button in the top right corner of the PlayUp sportsbook (it’s in the same spot on the website and the PlayUp mobile app). Next, fill in the info as requested. There’s nothing groundbreaking here, PlayUp just needs to know who you are. This will require:
- Phone number
- Last 4 of your Social Security Number (every sportsbook requires this)
Once you’ve submitted everything, you’re ready to bet. You don’t need enter a promo code during the registration process, only when you go to make your first deposit. You’ll see a box for ‘I have a promotional code’. Tick it, enter code PLAYUP200, and you’re good to go.
PlayUp deposits and withdrawals
Naturally, you need some cash at your disposal before you can bet on sports. Click the ‘Deposit’ button that appears in the top right corner of the sportsbook to visit the cashier. There’s plenty of banking choices available. Keep in mind that the options may change based on the state that you’re going to be betting in. Popular picks include:
Visa/MasterCard Credit Cards – You input your info and it processes just like any other online purchase. Keep in mind that you can’t withdraw to a credit card, they’re just for deposits
VIP Preferred e-Check – Deposit and withdraw directly from your checking/savings account with minimal set up required. Just be sure you have access to your account and routing number.
Play+ Prepaid Card – Add money to the prepaid card’s balance, then instantly move it to your PlayUp Sportsbook account (and back). Play+ will also send you an actual card that you can use to withdraw from the balance at ATMs, or swipe directly for purchases.
Skrill – A digital wallet that is easily fundable. Deposits and cashouts are enabled with Skrill, though a fee may apply.
Paysafe Cash – If you’ve used PayNearMe in another state, or with another sportsbook, Paysafe Cash is very similar. You’ll download a customized barcode to your phone and then take it over to your local participating retail spot. These can include CVS, Walgreens, Dollar General, 7-Eleven, and many more. The store will ring up the barcode at the register, just like you’re making a normal purchase, you pay them the requisite cash, and that cash then shows up in your PlayUp account.
Paysafe Card – This is analogous to buying a prepaid credit card or a gift card. Pick one up at the store and you can use it straight away to transfer the funds to PlayUp.
PlayUp software assessment
What’s not to like? PlayUp comes forward with a well constructed sports betting product. The website itself has a pretty simple color scheme that works. There’s blacks, grays, whites, and the electric green provides the needed pop. Thankfully the green and white rarely go together, meaning pretty much everything contrasts well and is readable.
You can find the major sports in a few different areas, both in the menu to the left and along the top horizontal bar. The sportsbook does a good job of making sure all of their best offers are on display with a turntable of promo banners. While we still recommend checking the promotions area on the regular, the homepage setup does a good job of getting the word out.
Below the promotional offers you’ll spy the in-game betting options, that are already underway. It’s a good place for them, as in-game wagers are the most time sensitive. Push a little further down and you’ll be able to see all of the big upcoming games to bet. You can actually sort all of these menus (in-game / upcoming) by sport, too, which is really convenient.
If you find a bet you like, click it, and it’ll automatically add to your bet slip on the edge of the screen. You couldn’t ask for much more on the betslip – it gives you the odds and potential payout, clear as day. Type in your stake and click the ‘Place bet’ button to finish up. If you have more than one wager on your betslip you can also toggle between straight bets, parlays, and teasers along the menu above the slip. At the top of the betslip you can also click a button to see all of your open wagers, cashout options, and bets that have closed.
PlayUp sportsbook mobile app
Does PlayUp sportsbook offer a mobile app? Absolutely… and its actually quite good. You can snag it for your iPhone or Android, it doesn’t matter what kind of device you have. The Apple App store is the place to go for iOS users, but Android folks will need to visit the PlayUp website and download it there.
The form and figure of the PlayUp mobile app looks a lot like its big brother, the desktop client. If you’re looking for convenience and a sportsbook to take with you while you’re out and about though, the mobile app is where it’s at. They pack everything you need on to the much smaller phone display. You still get promo banners, up front in-play listings, and a selection labeled ‘Today’s Plays” that touts the biggest games being held that day.
You can pull up a handy menu by clicking the three lined button in the top left corner, and you can browse by sports via a long sliding menu that spreads horizontally along the top.
Overall, the app lets you do everything you need with one lone exception. For now, the PlayUp sportsbook mobile app doesn’t offer access to Live Chat support. You can always log-in on the computer if you need to reach someone and Live Chat is your choice, but for now, its not on the app. We expect that it will be added shortly. Beyond that, you can sign up, place bets, deposit, cash out, claim promotions, and more – all through the app.
How’s the pricing?
Generally speaking, pricing on PlayUp isn’t bad. Most lines come in right around +/- 110, which is par for the course. Only exceptionally priced books dip into the ten cent line range (105), but that’s not typically what PlayUp is about.
When it comes to props and futures the pricing is kind of all over the place. For example, when we were price checking golfers for an upcoming tournament some prices were bettor on PlayUp than DraftKings, and others were worse. Likewise, scoping out title odds for the NFL will turn up similar results. There’s value on some teams, and not on others. It really just depends on who you’re looking to bet on, and when. This just underscores the importance of shopping around… odds can vary significantly on these sorts of bets so its worth checking around to make sure you get the best price. It may or may not be on PlayUp.
PlayUp offers odds on just about every sport that’s available and approved for betting in Colorado. It’s an encouraging sign, but Colorado allows a lot of betting markets. The true test will be to see what they bring to the table in other states that have slightly more restrictive legislation. All the major sports will be included everywhere, but it’s just the niche offerings that we’d like to see in as many states as possible. Current choices include:
- Table Tennis
- Aussie Rules
- etc. etc.
Just assume if you can watch it on TV anywhere in the world, PlayUp will let you bet it.
PlayUp promos and loyalty rewards
Well, there’s no sports betting rewards program on PlayUp… yet. Whether they elect to add one at a later date remains to be seen, but for now, as a PlayUp bettor you’ll be deriving your value through their standard menu of promotions. Thankfully it’s pretty well stocked and will definitely contribute to your enjoyment of the book. Whenever you log-in we recommend checking out the ‘Promotions’ tab to see what’s available.
Common promotions, on top of the free bet welcome bonus, include reload bonuses, parlay boosts, standard odds boosts, and even challenges. With the PlayUp sports betting challenges users are tasked with betting on something specific, or using a specific type of bet. If you meet all the requirements within the set time periods, you’re good to go and will pocket the reward. Challenges can surround all sorts of bets and sporting events, so keep your eyes peeled.
Customer care from PlayUp
Scroll on to the bottom of the sportsbook and you’ll see the ‘Help & Support’ menu at the bottom of the book. Support is located in the same spot on the app – all the way at the bottom kind of hidden in the footer. It’s not the easiest to find off hand, but once you know where it is, it’s easy to get back to. PlayUp offers a Frequently Asked Questions page, just click on FAQ to check it out. It’s not the best resource, but does contain info on sign up, placing a bet, various types of bets (parlay, teaser, etc.), deposits, responsible gaming, and more. Click the ‘Contact Us’ button to check out the other options for contacting the book directly. PlayUp offers:
- Phone support
- email support ([email protected])
- Live chat support (click the flashing green chat bubble in the bottom right hand corner of the book). Live chat isn’t on the app yet, so if you’re looking for an immediate response you can hop on a computer or give them a phone call. It is coming though!
