Where Can You Play WSOP Online Poker?
You can currently play WSOP online poker within the states of New Jersey, Nevada, and Michigan.
In the near future, you will also be able to play from Pennsylvania. A trial period for the WSOP-branded poker site to go live in PA begins in July 2023.
Thanks to the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA), player pools for WSOP are combined in the states of MI, NV, and NJ. Players who sign-up to play online poker through one of the three racinos in Delaware are also part of the combined player pool via 888poker DE.
Pennsylvania has yet to reach an agreement with other states in terms of shared player pools (MSIGA), but that may be coming soon.
For now, players who register for a new account with WSOP can expect to play against other players from NJ, MI, NV, and DE. The combined player pool also includes individuals who sign up to play at 888poker in New Jersey.
WSOP New Jersey
WSOP was one of the very first online poker sites to become regulated in the United States – through the NJDGE in New Jersey (2013). It was also the very first poker site to receive regulatory approval for legal interstate online poker games in the U.S.
Since that time, the WSOP NJ site has suffered from low traffic numbers. However, that is expected to improve now that more states are taking a look at joining New Jersey’s MSIGA interstate online poker compact.
WSOP NV
The WSOP.com Nevada site has been cross-marketed through various retail casinos in Vegas who experience an uptick in business during the annual World Series of Poker.
But with a limited interstate player pool, the WSOP.com Nevada site has only seen impressive traffic numbers during the summer months. As far as legal online poker in the Silver State goes, WSOP NV is the only game in town.
WSOP Michigan
Michigan’s statewide approval for legal online poker, sports betting, and casino games has paved the way for the WSOP brand to gain traction.
The more traffic a poker site receives, the more game variety it can offer (not to mention welcome offers for new players).
In May 2022, Michigan joined the MSIGA interstate online poker compact. WSOP traffic is spiking as a result.
Online poker customers tend to have a superior experience when competing against a large, combined player pool.
WSOP PA
WSOP launched in PA in 2021, but is still excluded from the online poker compact. This means that when you play WSOP in PA, you are only playing against other players in Pennsylvania. We hope to see PA join the interstate compact in the future, but does not seem to be a priority for the state at this time.
The good news is that when PA first launched online gaming, there is a clause in the legislation that allows PA to flip the switch and join NJ, NV, MI and DE without any further legislation.
WSOP PA still has a packed schedule of tournaments and a ton of cash games running 24/7 and you can still satellite your way into the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
How to Sign-Up for a New WSOP Poker Account
To get started, you’ll need to click through our WSOP promo code links to ensure you’re eligible for the WSOP.com new player welcome offers.
Once you have been taken to the site, you’ll need to download the software (PC) and follow the Setup instructions that are listed on the WSOP platform. Each state is a little different, but the instructions are state-specific to avoid confusion.
If you’re registering through a smart mobile device, you’ll need to ensure you meet the minimum requirements to install the WSOP mobile app on your iOS or Android smartphone or tablet.
When the software installs, you will be taken to the WSOP registration page. Here, you will need to provide the poker site with your full name, address, email, telephone number, Social Security Number, and other personal details to verify your 21+ status.
You’ll also need to make sure you’re using a Wi-Fi connection for geo-location purposes in Nevada. If your laptop or desktop is not Wi-Fi enabled in Nevada (or if there is any remote software running on your PC), you will not be able to complete the registration process.
WSOP.com User Name
During the sign-up process, you will be prompted to enter your user name for WSOP.com.
It is important to keep in mind that your WSOP user name can NOT be altered once it has been entered and verified as a unique identifier.
WSOP.com Desktop Client Review
WSOP has some of the best poker software in the regulated statewide American market. You can easily filter which types of games (or stakes) you’re interested in, plus you can close out inactive cash table tables or tournaments with one click.
The WSOP poker site allows for easy navigation to personalized modules like your Cashier page. When necessary, players are moved instantaneously to other tables during a multi-table tournament – with all the relevant info clearly posted in the online tournament lobby.
WSOP App Review
The WSOP app is a bit lacking in functionality, especially if you are a player who multi-tables.
While using the WSOP app, you’ll only be able to play ONE TABLE AT A TIME, which will be an instant turn-off for poker pros.
If you’re a returning WSOP online poker customer who plays a lot of tables, you’ll need to arrange to play from your desktop or laptop PC.
One more thing about the WSOP mobile app… it’s not compatible with tournaments. Oh, and you can’t play Pot Limit Omaha games on the WSOP app.
Whether you’re a new player or a seasoned online poker veteran, chances are you’ll migrate to the WSOP desktop/laptop client due to the limited functionality of the WSOP mobile app.
WSOP Game Selection
The WSOP poker site has a full game selection of variants, stakes, and formats.
- Texas Hold’em (Limit, No Limit, Pot Limit)
- Omaha (Limit, No Limit, Pot Limit)
- 7 Card Stud (Limit)
WSOP online poker stakes range from $0.01/$0.02 No Limit penny games to $100/$200 No Limit Texas Hold’em tables.
Perhaps the most fun type of poker for casual players is BLAST Poker.
BLAST Poker is a “turbo” single-table jackpot Sit & Go game that starts 4-handed. The blinds increase every 2 minutes, and the tournaments are usually finished in a few minutes.
Buy-ins for BLAST Poker games begin at $0.10 and go up to $50. Most of the BLAST Poker tables will award the eventual winner 2x the original buy-in. However, if entrants are lucky enough to draw a “jackpot” table, the total prize pool can go as high as 10,000 times the buy-in.
WSOP Major Tournament Schedule
The WSOP online poker product is most impressive leading up to (and during) the summer months when the World Series of Poker is held in Las Vegas.
On a seasonal basis, WSOP offers satellite qualifiers into their live-venue bracelet and Circuit ring events.
As far as weekly major online tournaments, these are currently in flux as the site prepares for its Pennsylvania launch and seeks an opportunity to combine more interstate player pools.
WSOP Buy-ins and Pricing
The rake rates on the WSOP poker site are more lenient than you will find at most brick & mortar poker tables, but will increase as more players join a table.
Multi-Table Tournament rake usually begins at around 10% and decreases as the buy-in increases.
For cash games, the rake rake will depend on the stakes, number of players dealt into a hand, as well as the poker variant that’s being played.
A full-ring $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Texas Hold’em game will take out a penny for every $0.18 in the pot – up to a maximum of $0.30.
Meanwhile, a 6-handed $100/$200 NLHE game at WSOP online will extract $0.03 for every $1 that’s placed into the pot, with a maximum per-hand rake cap of $5.

WSOP Player Loyalty Program
The WSOP Poker Rewards program provides players with an incentive to play in real money cash games and online tournaments.
Action Player Points (APPs) are the virtual token-points that the site uses to gauge each customer’s activity.
For every $1 in contributed cash game rake or tournament fees, every player will receive 2 APPs. This process is automatic once a new player has registered a verified account with WSOP NV/NJ/MI/PA. There are no extra forms to fill out in order to be eligible to enter the WSOP Poker Rewards VIP program.
WSOP.com players can consult their APP level through the site’s Cashier module.
There are four monthly APP tiers plus a yearly “Champions Club” level for WSOP.com players:
- Beginner (starting monthly level)
- Bronze (200-749 APPs each month) 4x point multiplier
- Silver (750-1,499 APPs each month) 10x point multiplier
- Gold (1,500+ APPs each month) 12.5x point multiplier
- Champions Club (20,000+ APPs in a year) 16x point multiplier
Your APPs can be converted into WSOP Points through the Caesars Rewards program, with 100 WSOP Points equivalent to $1 USD. In order to receive cash credits for WSOP Points, you’ll be required to exchange a minimum of 1000 WSOP Points per transaction ($10 USD).
In terms of rakeback, the numbers work out as follows once your APPs have been converted to WSOP Points and exchanged:
- Beginner: 0% Rakeback
- Bronze: 8% Rakeback
- Silver: 20% Rakeback
- Gold: 25% Rakeback
- Champions Club: 32% Rakeback
WSOP.com RAKEBACK MATH

WSOP Customer Service
WSOP.com has a dedicated contact email for each state that it operates in.
Aside from the email option, players can consult the state-specific FAQ sections that the company publishes online. Here, you will find the answers to many of the questions that customers frequently ask about WSOP once they have registered and begun playing.
WSOP – Company Information & History
The World Series of Poker brand has been around for decades as a live-venue showcase of marquee, land-based poker tournaments.
In June 2013, Caesars Entertainment acquired the WSOP brand. The company subsequently launched one of the first legal U.S. online poker sites in New Jersey in November of that same year.
Due to its growing shared player pool and the potential of Pennsylvania eventually joining the MSIGA compact, the future is looking bright for WSOP.com in the United States.
